Bangladesh Private Vehicle Owners Welfare Society — a non-profit, voluntary organization dedicated to uniting and protecting private vehicle owners across Bangladesh.

Our Foundation

Bangladesh Private Vehicle Owners Welfare Society (BDVOWS) is a non-profitable, non-government, voluntary and charitable organization formed under The Society Registration Act, 1860 (Act XXI of 1860). Our working area covers all of Bangladesh, with potential to extend activities internationally.

Our Mission

To unite private vehicle owners throughout Bangladesh under a single, strong national network for mutual benefit, collective advocacy, and protection of their professional, economic and legal interests.

Our Vision

To emerge as a recognized national platform representing private vehicle owners of Bangladesh, engaging with policymakers, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders on policy matters affecting vehicle owners' interests.

Our Nature

A non-profit, voluntary, democratic organization. All income and surplus is applied solely towards the furtherance of our welfare objectives. No profit is distributed among members.

Our Objectives

Unite private vehicle owners throughout Bangladesh under a single national network for mutual benefit and collective advocacy.

Protect the professional, economic and legal interests of Members in all dealings with government and private entities.

Secure affordable, quality automotive services and products for Members — reducing their cost of vehicle ownership.

Represent and advocate for vehicle owners before BRTA, traffic authorities and government regulatory bodies through lawful means.

Provide free advisory services on vehicle purchase, BRTA registration, fitness renewal, route permits and related legal matters.

Promote road safety, defensive driving and environmental responsibility among Members across Bangladesh.

Maintain a Member Welfare Fund to assist Members and families in cases of accident, illness, disability, death or severe financial distress.

Award educational scholarships to children of Members and conduct training on safe driving, vehicle maintenance and first aid.

The Man Behind BDVOWS

Mr. Abul Hasnat Sohel conceived, initiated and led the formation of Bangladesh Private Vehicle Owners Welfare Society. As the Founding Initiator, he is constitutionally honoured as "Founder & Patron-in-Chief" — a title inscribed in the Society's permanent register and all official publications. He serves as the General Secretary, providing continuity, vision and leadership.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is constituted for an initial period of three (3) years. After this initial period, the committee will be elected by the general membership.

Founder Member

৳50,000

One-time registration fee. Or ৳30,000 upfront + 6 installments + ৳5,000 facilitation fee. Max 50 members. Permanent membership regardless of vehicle ownership. Full voting rights.

By Invitation

General Member

৳5,000

One-time registration fee. Daily subscription ৳10 (payable quarterly at ৳900). Must be a vehicle owner with valid BRTA registration. Full voting rights and eligibility for election.

Life Member

By EC

Fee determined by Executive Committee. Full voting rights. Access to all welfare benefits and services. Permanent membership status.

Donation

Any person who donates a significant amount approved by the Executive Committee. Advisory role only. No voting power. May advise the Executive Committee on Society development.

Voluntary

Persons of recognized eminence, professional expertise or civic standing. Invited by Executive Committee. No voting power. Not required to own a vehicle. Voluntary contribution welcomed.

Welfare Fund Benefits

Members who have maintained membership for at least one (1) year are eligible for Welfare Fund benefits. All benefit amounts are determined by the Executive Committee.

Working Area

Our working area covers all of Bangladesh. If there is sufficient opportunity, activities will be extended outside of Bangladesh, following international law and the customs of the relevant country.
